Crank shaft pulley question
Does anyone have any tips or advice for taking off the crank shaft pulley on a 92 legacy turbo? It's an automatic by the way and that nut is stuck on very tight. Any advice??

If you have a long enough breaker bar or a bar and a piece of pipe to slide over it, you can get away with putting the 22mm socket and bar/pipe on the bolt and rotate it to where its sitting on top of the drivers frame rail and bump the ignition I.e. turn the key to start the car but only crank for less than a second.
Other times you can try to wedge something on the flywheel thru the bellhousing access hole on the top passenger side and brake the bolt loose, but thats not ideal.
Easiest way is to use an air gun but that doesnt work unless the radiator and ac thing is out of the way.

Maybe already got it off? If not you could also use a large breaker bar with the 22m socket, unplug the coil , place the bar on the driver side frame rail and bump start the car. < not recommended but in a tight spot the motors torque will get it done. Just remember to unplug the coil, you don't want it starting on you.

As I stated above, you can do that but just bump the ignition. Dont crank it, just a little bump...
You can disconnect the coil if you want, but its not necessary.

Lol, almost word for word..didn't see your post there. I only unplug it for safety, my cars start on the second turn of the motor.

The bump start method will work, however for reinstallation you will need to torque the bolt properly which will require sticking a breaker bar or something similar in the flex plate bell housing opening.

Make sure to torque that bolt to 110-120 ft-lbs. The torque in the factory and other manuals are incorrect. I also put a small dab of blue locktite on there as well.

Thanks every one! I recommend using a socket then bumping the engine. Also I would heat up the bolt with a propane torch. We tried using an air gun but that bolt was on there really good.
