3rd Brake light?

Hey guys, well my wing got ripped off and was wondering is there a 3rd brake light besides the one on the wing? I need one for my states safety inspection and was wondering if there was an OEM 3rd brake light.

For a sedan? The N/A models have an in-window third brake light but I am not sure what it would take to retrofit one of those into a turbo sedan.

As Alphius stated, you can get the third light, but if you go this route, you will also want to grab that deck lid cover. it's pre cut for the third light. This way when ever you find a new spoiler, you don't have to hack up your nice SS decklid cover.Wiring wouldn't be hard at all, just make a pigtail to go from the plug for the spoiler light to the pigtail of the in window third brake light. A piece of speaker wire will be perfect for this.

the turbos should be prewired for the deck lid 3rd brake light..harness should be near the trunk interior light

Now then idea.... if i dont have the 3rd brake light technically could i get an LED Strip and mount it to the top of the window? and then just wire it in like i would if i had the NA 3rd brake light? Im trying to figure out a way to do this, because i have the only Legacy SS on island.... let alone sedans, tons of wagons no sedans.

If a chromed out f150 on 20s can have an led strip under it's tail gate, I dont see why you cant have a small strip in the top of your window. Especially if what you're doing has a legitimate purpose.

That would satisfy the letter of the law I would expect. It's too bad you didn't post this thread earlier, I was at the junkyard a few days ago and could have grabbed one to ship to you while I was there.

Well i got about another 2 months before i have to go get my safety done. Luckily everything i have done to the car looks stock. But the guy didn't realize i didn't have a 3rd brake light till after he put on my sticker lol. So he told me i was lucky. But yea thats the only thing that doesn't work on my car and would prevent me from passing.

I'll probably be at the junkyard within the next few weeks, if you want me to grab you a brake light and ship it just let me know. I'd expect it to cost less than $40 after buying it at the yard and shipping.
