Started to cut the hole for the RS hood scoop.
I am going to try to use the flaps from the hood for better air control under the scoop. we will see if it works.

ARP head studs

Remember when you get your motor bored to have ARP studs with it so they can torque it down properly so the cylinder walls are round when you put on the heads. when I checked the roundness of the cylinders after the boring they were out of round when not torqued. I had to make a torque plate for the engine shop to do my motor.

Hmm....I'm not sure if my machine shop used a torque plate and I didn't have a means to check the cylinder roundness when everything was torqued. It's a little late for that now though....but good info to know.

running the coolant pipes. I used the NA coolant pipe from the heater so it would be in the right spot for the return heater hose. I planned on moving the location of the turbo coolant box away from the stock location so the engine bay is less busy with hoses criss crossing everywhere.

Maybe I'm missing something, but the coolant crossover pipe in the picture appears to be a turbo coolant crossover pipe, not a non-turbo coolant crossover pipe.

The turbo cross over pipe and the NA heater return pipe run in the same route. I knew I was going to move the turbo coolant box because of the intercooler. so the difference between the two pipes were the diameter of the pipe. So if I was to move the turbo coolant box I would have to run coolant lines to that spot in the rear of the engine or block that pipe off. I messed around and found that the NA coolant cross pipe fit just right.

Hmm....I'm still not sure I'm following, but that's ok. If you had a picture of what you're talking about that'd help.

I just ended up using all the turbo stuff when I did my swap and it worked fine.
