Brian,
Thanks for the additional notes/clarification on the dash removal.
Regarding your questions, are you talking about the two screws that hold the front part of the ashtray and radio bezel in place? They are just standard screws. Are you installing the radio bezel before installing the ashtray bracket? I've done that before and they wouldn't go in all the way.
Regarding the HVAC lights, I can't confirm or deny that, but maybe someone else can. I would think since they are lighted, they could be replaced, but not sure what LED replacement would work.

Re: HOWTO: remove instrument cluster
Oh yes I installed the trim that goes over the radio first and was then trying to install the two screws that hold the ash tray in was not working.Legacy777 wrote: Regarding your questions, are you talking about the two screws that hold the front part of the ashtray and radio bezel in place? I will try it again the other way around and see if that works.

Re: HOWTO: remove instrument cluster
The trim definitely goes in first, and then the ash tray mount.
Are you using a small stubby screw driver to get those screws in? If they're not oriented just right they can sometimes not go in correctly.
