modifying head lights and the tails

Post by Nibbib »

so i finally got around to removing the amber insert in the tail lights. i like the look a lot

im wondering if anyone on here has ever tried to make the brake lights also the turn signals and then have the lower half be just for reverse lights?

and has anyone modified the head lights too have "city lights" like the EDM class ones have on the sides?

any input would be nice

You could modify the wiring so the rear brake lights blink and the lower part is all for the reverse lights.

Regarding adding city lights to the USDM lights, I don't believe I've seen or heard of anyone doing that.

yeah i was planing on doing that if i do it. haha

but after looking closer at the head lights ill have to bake them and completely pull everything apart.

i ordered a universal kit with yellow bulbs and i'll hopefully get a extra set of head lights to try this on.

Interesting you bring up the running lights in the head light idea, I've often thought about that as well. I have a spare set of 91 lights in the garage, maybe I will check it out in my free time.

I'll take pics as I go when I can get a spare set and a heat gun, I would rather use that then the oven

The only thing I'm more wondering on is should I put it in the same spot as the edm lights have there's, or drill a hole in the refector in the bottom middle or the corner that's closer to the turn signal...

I'd suggest the oven vs. a heat gun. The heat gun won't be able to evenly heat the adhesive.

Back in the late 90's you saw guys put small colored bulbs in the reflector. It gave off a cool look. Kind of like a poor man's BMW "angel eyes".
