So back to the updates iv had the car for a few months now it went through winter like a champ. Its now summer i had damaged first gear in the transmission racing my friends 99 2.5 RS doing a hard launch the first month i owned it. (was still learning how to drive AWD) So im in need of a new trans soon its making horrible sounds. Anyways i decided to keep driving it and limp it out of first gear from stops and enjoy the best part of summer driving it. I got all the car guys together in this little town we live in Chewelah wa and went on a long cruise through the mountains ending in a nice afternoon photo shoot and a 0-100 pull video ending with roasted corn over a camp fire with friends !!!keep in mind this all went down a few months ago and im catching back up to current with the pics and what im doing as of now sit tight alot more to come

So i finnally completely obliterated the trans in the legacy and had to park her some time has gone by i was able to source a replacement from a reputable member on here in the parts shed BC622B05STI he hooked me up with his lower miles 91 5mt for $500 this will be going on the 20g swap
I think everyone that's changed struts at one point and time have tightened that top nut and either stood on the bottom of the strut or had a friend stand on the bottom of the strut to keep it from turning.....haha

You should have a good trans! Nick is meticulous with rebuilding the old parts. That trans should be as good as new.

I really do hope so how tuff are these transmissions? One hard launch and mine was toast, I don't wanna kill this one anytime soon ill be babying it for a WHILE.
Good and bad news guys! i had some asshole in a semi clip the rear quarter panel of my car and dragging it out of its space ill admit i died inside a little its pretty fucking bad but i got a huge insurance claim of $3400 i payed 3k for the car so the cars now effectively payed for it self and payed for its own 20g swap
So its a shame shes not perfect anymore got some band aids on her bo bo's now and shes going under the knive to get swapped
As for the transmissions....I think it really depends. I've heard stories of people babying it and still stripping the gears, and also have heard of people beating on them and they're ok. I'd just suggest to use common sense with it...
Its been really nice and hot out for the lsst day or to, So i decided to finally start pulling my car apart this is a first for me on a Subaru but its getting easier as i go here goes nothing
Looks like the td04 that was on my car has going through some oil that would explain the smoke under boost
Is this the stock coolant can? It had some weird bracket on it hmmmm.
Its not gonna be fun finding how these vacuum lines all go back together on a different engine. Hopefully i can figure it out with your guy's help one i get that far
I'm wondering if anyone knows what these are, and if i can delete my charcoal canister. I want it out of the bay to clean things up a bit but if i have to use it i will.
