So I have a 1991 Legacy wagon non-turbo with non-op map lights. They worked intermittently for a few months and they just stopped working altogether. The regular domelight still functions fine in the on position and the door position. The bulbs are fine. There is a single wire that supplies power to both the map lights but I checked it with a multimeter and it is not getting power. I have no blown fuses and have checked the 1992 fsm wiring section to find where the wire leads to and found no diagrams involving the map lights.
Can anyone offer any insight on where this power wire terminates?

The map lights should get power from a wire going to the dome light. Also, the map light's ground is through the screws that secure it to the roof, so once you restore power make sure those are secured before you get too frustrated, ha ha.
