That's quite a difference in additives! But I also see the HPGO has higher viscosity and flashpoint, so without being an oil engineer there really doesn't seem to be a way to say 1 is better than the other, unless you already know from extensive testing that your gearbox likes specific additives.

I really hope that this information eventually makes it way across to the resellers who still list the HPGO as Extra-S.

Mike,

Thanks for sharing those oil analysis reports. I ended up picking up a 5 gallon bucket of the Xtra-S when Subarugenuineparts.com was clearing out their stock.

I've had good luck with the Xtra-S in all my subies. I'm not sure how the HPGO would work though.
