Low beams went out.

Post by lucas »

The low beams went out on my wife 93SS, high beams still work but low beams pooped out somehow. Changed the Headlight relays that are in the fuse box located in the engine bay. Looked at all the fuses in the cabin nothings blown.

Just kinda strange how they just all the sudden stopped working. Anyone have this happen to them ever?

Change the bulbs out. Happened in my 05 LGT. You use your low beams the most and at the same time, obviously. starting the car can send more power at the lights I guess and blow them out. Like I said happened on my GT, changed the bulbs and all good.

It happens often on subies. Both seem to go together its weird. Happens more with aftermarket bulbs too

Turned out to be some asshatery wiring job the previous owner(s) did, looks like it used to be hooked up to a set of 4 piaa driving lights. When you flicked the headlights on the other lights did too. Just plugged in the old pigtails problem solved.
