Bad front left wheel bearing. Lobed out tire and shit aftermarket axles.

Lucas, I'm interested to know what the fix was for the clunking. Any update for us?

Re: Best way to tackle wheel bearings
It was the front left wheel bearing. Sometimes I guess it will clunk on the opposite side when the wheel bearings are bad. So far the non subaru axles are ok but have more vibration then the subaru ones. Also I have noted that with the Group N mounts my shifting and drive train feel more stiff but have increased vibration throughout the body of the vehicle and for whatever reason after all the work I did it idles more poorly at times.

Thanks for the reply. What's weird is that your Nov 27 post didn't show up, which is why I asked what the fix was. Thanks for not railing on me since you had posted what the fix was and then I asked right after that what the fix was. Glad you found the problem!

haha no prob bro. Since I've had a few weeks to drive it some of the initial stiffness has smoothed out, but over all if I did it all over just use subaru parts from the beginning they're just better in every way.
