I've done plenty of searching and seem to be having a little issue with my tmic install.
I've lowered all of my lines under the pitch stop and the tmic y is still hitting my a/c line. From all of the pics I've found seems like I'm the only one with this issue and having the goofy a/c line. Most lines I've seen don't have that round cylinder type piece on it.
th3e only difference I can see is a different part number jun 93 production and newer. 73045aa311 up to 0593 , 73054aa410 06/93 + , even the evap core is different for the latest model year. surely you can at worst disconnect and reclock it or make a bend in the alum. pipe?
The factory turbos all have a kinked line like that. The part number difference is when they went to R134.
The solution is to grab a non turbo line off a legacy with the same brand ac compressor as yours. Non turbos could come with 3 or more different compressors so that has to match.

Wait....I'm confused now.
My,buddies 92 ss has the same cylinder thing on the line. So it must be a non turbo thing.
I'm trying to do it without having to disconnect the line and lose all that precious r-12. I did think of putting a kink in it. I may end up doing that.
I clocked it 90° and built a bracket. Looks pretty nice actually, almost factory. Uses factory mounting holes also.
The thing I can suggest is slightly loosening the fitting just enough to rotate that line downwards just a little bit to see if that gives you a little more clearance.
Are you needing a little bit or a lot more clearance to get things to fit?
As for the coolant expansion tank, most people relocate it using a newer style metal WRX tank. I rotated mine with my AWIC setup, but I did not have the bypass valve on the intercooler to get in the way.
I just need a little bit, 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch. I have loosened the fitting in order to rotate. Just need a little more. May need gteaser to come by and help.
Been super busy with work lately bit i fanally got it on. Getting some sort of vibration or air type noise from 0-4 psi. It almost sounds like a balloon loosing air. I make full boost so I don't think it's a boost leak. The intercooler also slightly rubs the hood. Still demons I gotta work out.
Had a similar issue with my 93. Hissing at low boost. I tried to find it every way possible. Then when I pulled the engine out and started breaking it down, I noticed several cracks in the intake tract post turbo. Did you inspect your Y-Pipe before installation?

Intercooler looks awesome. Glad it is in and the AC line is cleared. I also had the same deal as you and it turned out to be a leak at one of the joints on the y-pipe. Everything looked and felt fine but just needed to be readjusted. Definitely a pain the first few times installing.

I'm installing mine and wonder how I relocate the hose off the inlet that goes to the charge pipe to the throttlebody. Right now doing a robtune 550 and installing an 06 intercooler. HELP ='(
