Its an emulator for just about every arcade game ever made. Imagine if you could play any of 4000+ arcade games right on your computer.
One cool part is that you still have to insert coins

Tell me any arcade game you can think of, Im confident it can play it. A couple days ago my friend and I finish Golden Axe. Just yesterday I was playing Moon Patrol.

Awesome! All the old school games. I knew you weren't talking about the musical, though. How about Vulgus? It was a 1942 type scrolling game with big bugs and space ships.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.
Yep, three different version of Vulgus. Even the japanese version
Thats the other great part about Mame, many games have multiple versions from around the world.
The online play makes it even better. You can even run your own server if you like. My coworkers and I played a 4 player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles about a week ago.

That's amazing. Vulgus was not a popular game. I love the older games, so this is perfect. I think the newer games are generally too complicated. I rather just watch people who are good at them play like watching a movie. I usually prefer the simpler games they used to make since I don't have the attention span to put all the effort the new games require.

You'd be shocked at how many Japenese "Naked girl" games they have. Mostly Mahjong or the type where you draw a line to take over the space while dodging an enemy.
There are also some prototype games that never made it to market
I cant imagine anyone paying a quarter for some of the games. I played one called gang wars where the entire game had 6 different enemy and they all had the same crappy laugh. It was a really bad Streets of Rage rip off.
