Having a problem with the battery light! It wont go off, at first it would flicker dim on or off more or less as I drove but now its just always on! Any thoughts? what can I check to fix this? Battery voltage is within range, I installed a new alternator thinking that was the problem but it didn't change anything! What controls this circuit? ECU? I am at a loss, any help is appreciated!
Thanks, Brian

Battery Light Issue
1992 Legacy L (AWD )(5MT)[2.5RS Trans] EJ22T Swap in Progress
Re: Battery Light Issue
The battery light is tied into the alternator circuit. If only the charge/battery light is illuminating then there could be something wrong with the alternator or wiring for that circuit. With the engine off disconnect the connector from the alternator and check the resistance of the wire from that connector to the cabin/instrument cluster. In the diagrams below page 5 of 82 has the diagram which shows which wires to test.
