Hey guys, this is my first time posting here. I have trolled this forum many many times as I have now owned 3 Legacies, 1992 Canadian spec Legacy Turbo 5spd, 1990 Legacy RS-Type RA (sold this to another member on here), currently have a 1994 Legacy Turbo that is fully restored.

To shed a little light on this topic as I currently have this project on the go (as a possible second engine, debating on this or shooting for 300 tq from a built 22T long block).

http://6starspeed.com/ejpeenrekit.html

6starspeed.com has performance build sets for the 22T, they even have k1 cranks and rods meant for the 22T to work with either #3 or #5 thrust.

Hope this info helps. The pistons offered at Weisco or JE, 97 to 98mm bores.

What head gaskets did you use and what was your final cr? Thanks

Cometic. .051" (1.3mm) and I believe the compression ratio was 7.49:1

Sorry to bump this but some people, like me at one point, might come through and be looking for info. I'm in the process of doing this set up. I went with 97.5mm Wiseco pistons with a -22 dish, stock rods, and crank. Will require small amount of machine work to fit the pistons however since the block is older it will ensure that the cylinders are straight. I'm going with a Felpro MLS EJ22t head gasket. With some of my CR calculations I was looking at a 8.6:1 compression ratio. Pairing that with my HY35 rotated set up and e85 I hopefully should make some good numbers once it's all together.

I wanted to go for E85 but the availability around me sucks ass. It's either on base (which i don't have access to) or an hour drive.

What car are you putting that engine in?

Finally found a shell after months of searching, it's a 98 Legacy GT with hardly any rust.
