Well, I've gone and done it again.
Still super busy with work and Boy Scouts (I'm now the Scoutmaster) so my projects have gotten only a bit of attention. But that's not going to stop me from picking up a dream car on the cheap if one crosses my path!
The details:
1994 base "L" model. FWD (boo..), No sunroof (Yeah...), No ABS (indifferent), manual seatbelts, grey trim instead of the supposed up-market fake wood. Pretty clean, drives well. Has some trim issues to sort out. Seems stock except for the horrible "marine" radio and aftermarket HIDs in the projector low beams. The main reason I settled for FWD is the grey trim and no-sunroof - both are hard to find. The bonus is that it's the lightest SVX ever made.
The Plan: Daily drive it @ 20 MPG and park the Land Rover @ 13 MPG. Slowly restore it cosmetically. Deal with any minor mechanical issues. Install a decent updated stereo. Slowly collect parts for a 6-speed AWD swap.
Yes, I have serious issues.
