All of you that have 90/91s, and dim headlighs, try aligning them, I just did this the other day, and the lighting improved dramatically. My low beams are better than my high beams used to be! No more vision problems at night.

Visually aimable lights can be aimed by the beam pattern on a wall. To aim a non-visually aimable light you have to use one of those thingamajigs that clips onto the three pips on the lens. Visual aiming is generally preferable because it takes into account any tolerances in the whole system, and because it can be done by anybody with a wall, 25 feet of flat level ground, and some masking tape.

The Haynes manual covers Legacies from model years 1990 through 1998. Model years 1992 through 1997 have visually aimable lights. 1998 may -- I'm not sure. So maybe they generalized incorrectly?

The drivers was straight ahead horizontally and down about half an inch at 20 feet. The passenger to the right half an inch and down 1/4 vertically.

there are adjuster screws to aim the whole light up and down....and left to right......they are different then the 92-94's assembly.

I didn't realize the pattern had markers you could use to aim horizontally and vertically. That was my question.ciper wrote:The drivers was straight ahead horizontally and down about half an inch at 20 feet. The passenger to the left half an inch and down 1/4 vertically.
Just a note -- you should aim them both straight ahead, or if anything move the passenger side to the right a little. If you aim to the left you are aiming into oncoming traffic and as the beam goes further from your car it will go further from the right side of the road.
