Now using SSL

For those of you who are privacy-conscious, you may be pleased to hear that I've enabled a Let's Encrypt SSL Certificate for the forum.

For those of you who are using new versions of Firefox, this will appease the warning it gives when selecting a saved password. It will also keep Tapatalk and Apple happy when they force SSL in the near future.

So, try it out and change your bookmarks to https://bbs.legacycentral.org

If you have problems, remove any security exceptions you may have accidentally created in the past.

I had read about this the other day and was thinking about implementing something on my sites, but I'm curious about the fact that the browser still doesn't show secure.

If you are having issues staying logged in please clear your browser cache and delete your cookies.

The reason that the browser, Firefox or Chrome, isn't showing that it's %100 secure is because of elements like the Google Search and Adwords. Those elements are not delivered through SSL, yet.

I had a problem where it wouldn't even log me in. Like, it would act like it was logging me in and then take me back to the login page. Thankfully I was able to text Mike, but hopefully everyone else is more bright than me if they didn't manage to see the warning before they just couldn't get into their account at all.

cleaned the cookies and everything to the beginning of time... still wont keep me logged in.

We're changing some settings to force HTTPS on links, so that in the event you click an HTTP link, it'll force those to -S.

I had to manually type in https://bbs....... every time since I never figured out bookmarks on the phone. Works like DLC said, it switches to the https version automatically.
