Are you crazy? You should do some research BEFORE buying the engine!

You will either need a turbo cross member or get aftermarket 2.5NA-Turbo headers. Did he include all the items attached to the engine (intake, electronics)?

Where do you live? I ask because of smog testing. The original engine in your car is a NA obd2, while this one is a turbo obd1 and its from an older car. You cant get much worse than that.

With only 72k the engine is probably in great shape. Just replace all the oil seals and you should be okay.

Sounds like you plan to install the engine "stock" for a while then upgrade it. If so did he include the pressure sensor and pneumatic switch from the passenger shock tower?

Is your car a 5 speed?

Can you live with your car being out of commission for a couple months? Do you have the complete engine wire harness? Are you good with splicing wires and electronics? Do you have the service manuals for your car and the Turbo Legacy? Did you get the headers/up-pipe/down pipe?

How much did you spend on the engine?
