shiny and tinted with wheels!

Post by petridish38 »

Since everyone else is posting pics of their cars, I figured I would too. Especially since I just recently got some 02 WRX wheels and a tint job!

Here are some before pics!

Thanks all!! :D

The WRX wheels do make it noticeably higher. :x About the only thing I miss about the 14" wheels is that they made it lower. When the time comes I will probably get lower profile tires and that will help.
As for modding the suspension, i'm a poor college student, so I will have to put that off for a while.

Putting the right size tires helps to not raise the car....

there is no money for lower profile tires and 14'' steelies dont exactly compliment the cars features.

So you spent money on tint instead of tires? You'll probably have to replaced them soon anyways, many only last for 8-20k miles. They are all seasons with bad traction and a treadwear of only 160!!!

Ive seen a few of them GIVEN away, all you had to do was pick them up.

w00t! w00t! Looks awesome Andrew! Definitely an upgrade from the 14" steelies with a mismatched wheelcover! Isn't it funny how WRX wheels seem to look good on everything except a WRX?

But don't worry, once this summer comes around, yours is gonna have some competition

Ciper- my brother's windows arent tinted. and the reason there is a lack of money is because since he's owned the car its been broken into 2 times (in 1 year) and he just spent all his money on an alarm finally.

thats what ya get parking ANYTHING in tacoma. It's literally the car theft capital of the world. :)

Though nobody would take my car. Left it with the key on the dash, windows down mid afternoon in the tacoma mall parking lot one summer day. NOTHING. oh well. :)

I personally dont like the look of wrx wheels. :? I'd rather roll ghetto on my gross 14" steelies for a few more months than drop $$ on a wheel/tire set that i dont really want, and will make my speedo off. :)

Exactly. Even if they are cheap. or light, they still don't look good on ny legacy (that i have seen yet).

LaureltheQueen/mTk: You suck and your not allowed to be different, you have to like them along with the rest of us :)

You do know that re-92 arent so great and often the wheels are sold with worn tires. What wrong with putting the right size on them to start? If your 14 inch tires wear out are you going to purchase more?! It would be cheaper AND faster to get WRX wheels with tires.
Your telling me that you wouldnt buy a set of WRX wheels for 200 with tires?

Using 205 55 tires will make your speedo more accurate at higher speeds...

I wouldnt. :) If i needed performance wheels/tires, i wouldnt get 16's. I'd go with a light set of 17s with rubber band tires. :)

Light weight and 17 doesnt really go together plus you have to worry about sidewall pimples.

What about ride quality, too? Mine's good with the 15's, but I'm going to have to do 16's to fit the bigger brakes I'll need and I'm not looking forward to that even.
