Hey guys, i did a grounding mod on my car last week and i just wanted to share that it makes a huge difference. The idle is much smoother and slight hesitations in the power band have dissappeared. Also low end torque seems to have benfitted.
The grounding consisted of 4 sections of 6 gauge wire with copper ring terminals. 3 from the negative battery terminal going to either the engine block, strut tower, and replacing the stock ground which attaches above the headlight. The last wire goes from the passenger side strut tower to the engine block.
Just wanted to let you guys know:)

personally i don't believe that these do anything but band-aid or hide a negative condition that you car has. Bad grounds should be cleaned and fixed, not worked around.
None the less, my opinion doesn't matter; this topic has been covered already, as well as WHY you have seen the improvements (the WHY is the important part).

I've re-done all the stock ground points, however I do feel there is merit to the extra grounds. However I'm going to go about it in a more scientific mannor and try and find spots where continuity is not as good as it should be

I just did my grounding mod this afternoon and I'm quite surprised. I ordered it from a vendor on the STi forum (staticX313...I think).
It is made up of seven wires (4 guage). The hesitation I was having at various points in the RPM range is gone. The RPMs climb crisply and the car idles smoother. I have a vacuum/boost guage & I noticed that I'm pulling approx. 0.5 to 0.4 more inches Hg. at idle.
Needless to say, I would recommend it. Stuff that I did before doing the grounding mod:
Plugs (NGK)
wires(NGK)
Fuel pump (walbro)
fuel filter
K&N panel filter, ducting from fog light
PDM catless 2.5" downpipe & custom center section

Just look around the engine bay for any convenient bolts that go directly into the block and measure back to the battery negative for your lengths. Didnt affect my cars running 1 little bit but that probably means the existing engine earths in good condition.
If only I hadnt bought the bike, this would feel fast :P
