dumbass.

So I get my shiny new Momo shift boot from Art in the mail today. I figure, sweet, I'll install it when I get home.

Well, that's not working so well right now. I can't get the center console apart, and it's pissing me off.

I'm obviously missing something. This is the first time getting into the interior of the Turbo. The 95 is so well laid out for taking the interior apart.

Any info?

Also, any way to mount the boot without putting a hole in the boot?

Remove the trim around the E-brake first, then it should pop out, back to front IIRC.

try going from the radio trim back to the e-brake.

I tried. I can get everything loose, except the center of the center panel.

Like there's a screw or something that's holding it down, but no way to access it. It seems like you could just unclip the center part but the middle is still stuck down.

This is annoyin me. I've got the boot ghetto rigged up, but it's gotta be fixed.

pull off the shift knob, pull off the boot.

feel around under the trim panel toward the edge and you will feel tabs that come down and snap it into place. there are 6 tabs. I've broke 2 of mine so now it's a bit easier to remove.

the only thing you should have to remove is the knob. then start at the front by the radio. pull up and out toward the radio.

Ahh, I can't reach the other two clips, I guess I'll just break the bastards off.

If I wanted to do it correctly, how would I go about reaching those clips?

I've taken my center console apart about 50 times now. The only thing you should need to do is take off the shift knob, then with the boot in place, pop the center part off and slide it off the shifter. You shouldn't have to remove one screw...

I finally got it off. I unclipped all 4 clips under the console and just yanked up on the rear of it. All popped right out.

Now I have a new problem of how to attach my momo shift boot. Any ideas? So far, it looks like I'll have to order the STi shift trim.

super glue it under the plastic piece. Or epoxy it.
