Help finding 15" steelies
I have a 93' Legacy L, NA, FWD, 195k that currently has the stock 185/70/14 on it. This spring break my parents are going to buy me two new treads (rear tires need to go) and I want to put 15" steelies up front and move the 14's to the back until this summer when I can afford to have all 15's. My problem is that I'm having a hard time finding a cheap set of steelies for either 205/60/15 or the 195/??/15. Does anybody know where I can find two rims for a reasonable price. I live in southwest Virginia. I know a lot of people are wondering why I want steelies instead of alloys - price (I'm a college student, need I say more
) and I do a lot of back road driving and like the 'ding' resistance steelies provide. Thanks for the help guys.

Try junkyards. That's what I did. Generally any Subaru wheel should fit.
Tire rack should have 15" steelies too, but you're probably looking at ballpark $50 for each wheel from them.

Alright, I searched and searched for a set of steelies but couldn't find any. However, I did find a set of used alloy rims for 70, they're for a 205/xx/R15. My dad and I went out today looking at tires and that has brought up another question. We have seen several 205/65/15's but only a few 205/60/15's. I understand the difference between the tire sizes and why the 205/60/15's are more expensive, etc. My question is this though - will a 205/65/15 fit though without rubbing? Thanks for the help you all have given so far, it's been great.

I've got 6 15" alloys (4 peeling, 2 chewed up on lip) if you're interested. Try a 205-50-15 sometime. Handles a lot better.

need 15" alloys
I need 5 or 6 alloys like this exactly - a bit beat up (or good and cheap). Are you (or anyone else) interested in selling?tonflo wrote:I've got 6 15" alloys (4 peeling, 2 chewed up on lip) if you're interested. Try a 205-50-15 sometime. Handles a lot better.
