RE: STI short shift.

Post by ultrasonic »

I understand that the STI short throw shifter kit can be adapted for use in BC/BF applications. Are there different STI kits for Impreza GC and Impreza GDA?

Example: http://www.subaruparts.com/catalog/?section=162

It appears that there are only two STI kits:
1. for STI 6 speed.
2. for all other applications.

Obviously, if there are only two, I should not get the STI six speed version.

If there are different kits for pre MY02 and post MY02, I assume I need pre MY02.

Clarification anyone?

Gotta do this soon, my shifter feels like a straw in a half melted chocolate shake.

Thanks.

The 02 linkage works fine on our cars. You just need the adapter piece for the rod on the transmission.

Alright, I'll bite...

What's the adaptor piece and where do I get it?

Thanks.

Have any questions, feel free to search, then email those who have installed them. it's fairly straight-forward. in the mean time: locky locky.
