ej22t/g only in the us?

The EJ20G theory is not dead, a block type of EJ22G and an engine designation of EJ22G may be coincidentally using the same numbers. That is why I started the thread in the other forum, to find the source of the G.

You still dont seem to understand. Im fairly sure the casting numbers ARE DIFFERENT, as stated in at least three of the threads already I beleive they took the existing USDM EJ22 and made a new casting based off it. Its the same way that I know the MY90 EJ22 is the same block as the my01 EJ22 even if they have different casting numbers.

1. Do you agree that the engine did not start its life as an EJ20 and was later bored out to 2.2 liters?

2. Do you agree that the engine wasnt removed from the vehicle multiple times for this modification

I gave you the source of the G, it has Zero to do with the block...

As I stated more than once, the idea that the 22B block is bored block is ludicrous...

Okay, so we agree on everything that is important.

Would you do me a favor and post a reply to my email petition thread on what the wording should be changed to on the 22B.com website?

I think we need to look into the G thing more. An ENGINE with EJ22GXXXXX means one thing while a block "version" of EJ22G may be something else?

Hmm, so it looks like up through 96 they used coil-on-plug, and then in 97 when they changed a bunch of other stuff (Impreza body style, intercooler type, compressor inlet plumbing) they also switched to coil packs... and then when the new body style was introduced they went back to coil-on-plug, but this time with built-in igniters?
