I had this problem last year and replaced the oem boost controller with a pretty nice DNA racing B/C and every thing was fine through the winter for a couple months until it started to be above 20 degrees outside and it is doing it again but it is alot worse than before could it be a vacume leak?
help! turbo seems very hesitant

Jerky? Is it possible you're hitting the fuel cut? When the ECU detects sustained overboost (usually about 13 psi for more than about 3 seconds) it cuts all fuel to prevent the engine from killing itself. Does it feel like the engine suddenly stops -- like you hit a brick wall -- and then starts again when boost drops a little?

Things to check are fuel filter, plugs, plug wires, O2 sensor and some have said that changing their alternator has cured hesitation. I replaced my knock sensor recently and that helped a lot. Usually changing the plugs with NGK V-powers gets rid of most hesitation issues though.

i agree on spark being the most likely issue. It sounds like your car is breaking up under full boost because the spark is too weak from the wires being beat up, or the spark is too aggressive because the gap has increased. Your spark plugs are probably "blown out" or "gapped out" from running extra boost over time.
