sunroofed models have very differnt roofs than non sunroof models, aside for there being a hole, you need an underneath tray to catch water, drain tubes etc. Even the roof support forms are spot welded very differently underneath. Anythings possible, but it would require alot of custom metal work, welding and repainting.

I thought lots of people installed aftermarket sunroofs. Just doing a Google search for "aftermarket sunroofs" yielded several interesting hits. You'll lose structural rigidity, since the roof wasn't meant to have a big hole in it, but it can be done.

I used to install sunroofs right after I got outta highschool.

Pop ups are real easy, and you shouldnt have to cut out any roof supports to do it. In fact, you dont even have to remove the headliner.

Have a removeable pop up roof on mine. I purposely sized it so they wouldn't cut into the lateral roof support. 5 yrs. and no leaks at all. Cost me less than $100 because the glass company was also doing my windshield and tacked some of the cost onto that for the insurance to handle. I think it went for $150 installed.
