I didn't realize that the JDM's didn't have them on the center.
I'd actually like to paint over it. I have it debaged in the front and plan on putting a carbon fiber "I" where the subaru logo used to be. That way no one will have a clue what it is. MUHAHAHA!
That's cool, but I can't get past the "I" standing for Impreza. Maybe I could fudge and say that it is the last letter of STI.
I just don't want my car badged as an impreza and even if I think it would look cool, I just couldn't get myself to do it. That's just me, though.

Well you can buy the smoke light spray, and then just mask the letters off.
That tailight tint on the back looks great! I think prolly what was done there was using VHT "nightshades" or some other tailight tint they sprayed the center piece only and taped off the legacy lettering.. very cool.. hmm.. I've got a spare piece in my garage.. time to experiment on a 91
