Trans swap, 91 into 94, both 4eat

Post by Blackbart »

If I drop a 4eat from a 1991 turbo sedan into my 1994 turbo wagon (also has a 4eat) will all the wireing be the same? Do I need to swap the tcu also? I don't have the tcu from the 91. Is there any difference in the two trannys?
Would a 92 tranny be more compatable?

They would all be compatible 100%, plug and play (if they are all from turbos).

The TCU "tuning" might be different but they would function all the same. Turbo Flex plate and TC are supposed to be different so if you want to swap an NA transmission get the flex plate and TC together. Then it would also be plug and play.
