damn thieves!!! :(
my car was broken into the other night at my dads house in seattle.
the idiots tried to steal my second rate cd player, but only succeeded in ruining the trim around the radio and destroying the cd unit itself!!!! Whats kinda scary is that the car was in a gated driveway, keep telling my dad he needs to get a gun, he wont listen. they must have been either REALLY stupid or on drugs. Both Im guessing. does anyone have the radio trim piece for a 91 legacy, or know where one is in or near seattle?
why cant those idiots stick to stealing hondas??

wish I had caught them in the act.

I was thinking about this today on the way to work. That and car theft itelf. I was like "how cool would it be to plan little tiny devices that could send a signal out be tracked by gps. You could have it broadcast to your computer or something somehow. You could attach htem to your car and your radio and who knows what else. When someon swipes your stuff you can go meet him on his door step and "kindly" ask for it back.
I knew a guy that for his senior project he made a system were he somehow got his gps position broadcasted or sent to his webserver which then had a webpage showing his current location in real time. He did this so his little brother could see were he was going nad how close he was to home. Pretty cool, eh?

So something like a self-accessing Lojack. Car theft dropped drastically around here thanks to Lojack as the cops would wait for the car to stop somewhere rather than pursue and a few times they were lead to chop shops.

I want to send electricity to my door handles.
Fry the sumbitch who tries to touch my car. I had a friend who was going to do that to his civic, wire up little metal plates that would sit behind the door handle, problem is our chrome handles would be kinda dangerous

I read about a guy in Britain who's car kept getting broken into and stolen who did something like that and ended up zapping a thief. If I remember it right, the thief sued, but lost. However, the judge made him disconnect the system.
