Im having a fluttering sound under heavy acceleration from the engine bay. I had the similar sound when I had a DSM and was told it was the exhaust manifold gasket. Does anyone have this problem and do I just have to live with it?
What model and year is it? I had the same sound for a while and it was a weld on the Y-pipe that cracked. I Mineke touched up the weld and the sound went away. It cost me about $40.

same here i had a crack in the y pipe right before the first cat in my 91. 40 bucks they welded a new peice of pipe in. Car sounded ALOT better after and drove better.
