about the coil-on plugs, what is the advantage to using these?

No plug wires to wear out or to absorb any of the energy of the spark. The ECU controls each cylinder's spark independently and directly rather than firing pairs of cylinders at a time like the North American setup, so the cylinder in the exhaust stroke doesn't absorb any of the spark either.

Apparently it's not uncommon for Liberty RS owners to eventually experience coil failure from heat and vibration, though, and just replace them with four individual ignition coils with wires.

The way I have been told is that the lip will fit a series 1 and series 2
89-94 RS lib/leg and the N/A lib/leg of those same years.

Is that a real STI strut bar?

Yes I'm to, believe it is. The origin sticker on the bar was damaged and was replaced with a new one after it was polished up.

Did you use Zip Ties on the vacuum lines?

Yes...I saw this done at Revlimit Motorsports and pinched the idea from them. I don't know if over time if it's going to cut thru....it hasn't yet.

You mentioned that it was originally an STi part or somthing? was it an actual part made for the bc/bf Legacy, or a part for the impreza made to fit your Legacy?

Once again it was sold to me as an Sti front lip. I to don't know if there was a part listing or not. It did have a Sti sticker on the lip, but I took it off...... with all the other Sti logo's on the front it started to look to busy.
It is not a impreza made to fit. It came off a Japan import BC.

just a general note; it is very hard to convey emotions/opinions/sarcasm over the internet especially with all of the acronyms, slang and lazyness in typing, so be careful with your choice of words, and also take what you read with a grain of salt 'cause you may have read too much into it.

I've seen many clubs/messageboards fall apart because of this and i'd hate to see this one take that path

Make sure you cut them off neat and face all the heads down and it looks
really smik. When I saw it I thought that is so simple but looks so finished off. My catch can hasn't been emptied yet (5000k's) but it will depend on how much blow by you are getting. Some guys can's get full quickly others
just empty them at major services and there might not be much at all.

The hardest part was cutting the bumper support rail and the bumper it's self. But thats it....I'm no mechanic and I fitted it up. As for the make...don't know I bought it off an auction site...it was off a 99-00 WRX.
Now you have probably heard that the WRX don't fit our engine bay....well
this one did. There are 2 most common types...1 that goes down through both guards and 2 the one that goes down beside the battery and tucks back up near the radiator. This is the one you will have a chance with fitting.

I'm currently getting another price on the mould. The guy's are flat out at the moment from the 1st fiberglass place. Their quote was A$250 each lip
with fittings.

But shit I got a price on freight...now are you sitting down.................
1 front lip to San Francisco A$700...I kid you not...what a joke. And 10 front lip's for A$850. It's all to do with cubic area and not weight. They pack them in a box and sit 5 lips oneway and put the other 5 inside them. No chance of breakages..nicely done but dear. Which I suppose with an order of 10 @ A$85 each is not to bad. Thats from my door to another desinated drop all 10......Anyone comming over for a holiday?

I don't know which/who is the most central for you all but it can be done. Ball park figure about A$335 for a lip. I don't think the second quote will be much cheaper...but I may be able to get it done quicker.

The size of the tyres are 215x45x17 I think it must be the camera angle.

okay, lip sideskirt and rear lip all look awesome. Now I've got another question for ya, does the rear lip fit on wagons aswell?

Thawa, there's actually a rear lip specifically for the wagon. It's even available here in the U.S. I don't know the part number and I'm not sure if any of the other threads regarding the lip mentioned a part number, but it is available. It came standard on the '94 Legacy GT along with the wagon side skirts.

The car looks great RS.Really really nice! I have a silver 92 turbo with 17" speedline chrono's, sti impreza shocks, eibach springs, hks induction kit, greddy b boost controller, de-catted with full s/s mongoose system and downpipe but what i really really really need to finish it off is a set of foglight covers! how did u make them and if i paid you enough would u make me a set? im in northern ireland now despite living in perth for 2 yrs. thanks dude

Guy's the covers are easy. I have never done any fibreglassing in my life
yet I made some foglight covers.
Remove spotlights.
Buy some fibreglass matting (course)
Buy a fibreglass kit
Cut some fibreglass matting into 40mm strip..8... for the sides of the covers.
Buy some craftboard
Start with some craftboard and get the shape inside where the cover will fit. Sand back until cover feels quite smug. Just keep in mind that the cover will have sides. Now you have the front of your cover sanded and you are ready for the fibreglass. At this stage make a duplicate for the other side. Lay the finish one on top of some more craftboard and trace out shape and cut. You now have both sides. I fibreglassed one side at a time. Find a sheet of glass or a mirror and this is what we use to glass the covers. Spray the glass with cooking oil don't be shy.....cover the glass..Now cut some fibreglass a bit bigger than the craftboard shape about 50mm all the way around and place fibreglass matting down onto where you have just covered the glass with cooking oil and start to place mixed resin over the fibreglass.(mix resin as per kit instructions) Nice and smooth strokes keeping air bubbles down to a minimum....spray the front of your cover (making sure it's the right way down...right side ...left side) with cooking oil....place down into the middle of the fibreglass. Now add the cut sides about 40mm in height around the sides of the cover. This is quite fiddly so take your time getting the resin around the sides to make sure you get a good bond. I measured sides up first before fibreglassing so there wouldn't be to much of an overlap. I used the course matting to do the covers it seem to break up and bond together better. You will be giving it another layer so dont worry to much.
Remember the weakest piont will be where the two join together. So make sure you get the the resin around the sides. Thats it...let it dry. Cut off all the dagy bits with scissors close to the edge. Now work the craftboard free from inside the fibreglass mould. To give the cover some extra strength add some more fibreglass to front and sides. Do this by going thru the process again. You don't need any more craftboard now you have your moulded shape. You only have to spray cooking oil on the glass this time and not the front of the cover.
Once this is dry fill any holes with bog and sand down to final shape.
Re-measure...you will have to shape the top side of the cover to fit inside. it goes down to about 10mm and the bottom about 30mm. It will depend how far you bring the cover forward.
Spray it black or white and put some Sti stickers on give it a coat of clear and it's all done.
To fit them I used some galvinized brackets...fibreglass them to the back of the spotlight cover and bolt it up to the bracket where the spotlight was.
