I would if I could. For some reason the way newcelica.org is setup I can access the particular post, but in the address line it just says newcelica.org. *shrug*
It's in the regional forums under DC Metro area. The post is called Newbie to the Celica.
Funny how I get more props for the car AFTER it's gone than when it was in my possession. LOL! Martyr!

Handling I'd imagine. 6 gears to bang through instead of 5.
I don't know about you guys, but I just like shifting. It's fun!

As for the fun to drive comment . . . well, for one, the car's lighter by about 500lbs and feels more surefooted (this is in reference to a turn in and steering response/input, and not drivetrain related). It's front wheel drive layout, although not the drivetrain I would pick for the car, requires a little more driver finess to keep ii moving where you want it to . . . The legacy I could just throw it in a turn and let the awd system pull me out of it . . . I have to admit, I didn't really have to think about driving it fast - just point and shoot. Eventually, I plan on getting a rwd car to really hone in on my driving skills!!
Also, the peaky powerband, at least for me, keeps me on my toes as to when to shift/downshift, etc. In the turbo legacy, it didn't matter where in the powerband I was, when I hit the gas, it would GO! I liken it to how some people like driving manuals vs. automatics. It does help that the 6-spd and the clutch on the car is very smooth in its action.
It's quick, but not fast . . . yet.
The cockpit seems more oriented to driving (IMO), whereas the legacy, being a sedan, left a lot of space and roominess for conversation with other passengers in the car. Some might find this "cramped" attitude a little annoying, but most of the time, I'm driving by myself, and I like the fact that the celica's cabin is more driver oriented.
I'm by no means becoming a nutswinger, which this post might sound like. I'm just learning to appreciate the new car for what it is and isn't (an awd turbo car like the legacy), which is what makes it unique in its own way. I can still rattle off posts full of reasons why the the turbo legacy is a beast of a car. Otherwise, I wouldn't be spreading the good word of the car on other forums! LOL!

The Lagacy's ability to corner without correction is the platform, not necessarily the AWD as mine's fwd and can hold a turn without correction at least as well as the AWD versions I've driven. They're just very stable and well balanced. I'm sure the Celica's got more weight percentage on the front (though that'll probably be good as the fwd Legacy can suck in the snow without enough weight on the front).
It is nice to have a lighter car.

Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

I got the Legacy Turbo instead of an Eclipse GSX for one reason: I like having a back seat with easy access. And Galant VR-4's are hard to come by in good condition around me.

I was just curious on your feeling of the car boostjunkie. I know you haven' t lost your love for the old legacy.
Enjoy your newer car, I say. No harm in that. Its cool hearing how it compares to our cars. My brother used to have a 91 eclipse gsx (awd, turbo). It was a FUN car to drive. Took corners like a beast and had power to boot. It had a lot more turbo lag but it was faster than my legecy "currently" is. Shortly mine will be much faster. I liked it, but I like my legacy more. I liked how it felt to sit in that car more than my legacy, though. I understand what you mean on that one. It just felt like the car was wrapped around you as a driver. hehe

Different strokes for different folks, I guess. There will always be a place in my heart for the turbo legacy . . . bless her soul. The best car I've ever owned!!
We'll see if this celica can live up to my high expectations now:)

Mon, Tues or Wed nights are the only time I can usually get free time. This week is no good though but I'd like to see it soon.

Of course. I probably won't have my new system on yet or have an O2 sensor yet, so it will be running in safe mode. But it will still be fun.

Still pulls like a mother even in safe mode.
Matt - After McDonalds that Friday, Matt-2 and Roman were both wide eyed and slack-jawed. Roman now knows the potential of the cars after riding in Jason's 91 and your 92.
