This guy was the coolest shit and would come up with the most whacked stuff. He deserves to be a top talent in the industry and looks like he's headed there.

Wow! That's totally cool. I've alway's been fascinated by the design process involved in auto manufacting. I wish I had the resources and machine shop to explore my creativity like that.
I think your friends design is actually the more inovative of the three. I liek the high visibility "bubble" -kinda like a fighter plane canopy.
I would think also it would be an easy platform on which to build a burly off-road style suspension system. It really would be a sweet little jalopy to buzz around in -on or off road. Neat.

Yeah, Loren's crazy! You wouldn't believe the ideas he had and he knew nothing about cars before he met me. He said it was either car design or opthomology. The guy could sculpt, draw, paint, whatever. I thought I thought outside the box (except when it comes to women) but this guy's really out there. For his final project in transportation design (a free project where students could do anything) where everyone else did a sportscar he did a SLICK recycling truck. The teacher showed the upper classmen and told them that was the creativity he wanted from them.

Its a riot that the car was based on a skateboard conceot as he was an avid boarder. I've got to see if I can get in touch with him again.
