Legacy Twin Turbo conversion
So I've always thought that it would be awesome to convert and US Legacy to a twin-turbo engine. This has been discussed and decided that it would be too difficult of a conversion to bother with. Now my new idea I had last night was this. Subaru made, in America, a right hand drive postal vehicle Legacy AWD. What about converting that to a twin turbo?

If you said yes....
I'm on the Liberty RS site some and the thing about the TT is you leave them alone pretty much. Get everything and make it "stock" And have fun
No, it is likley to be a lot of work but it would kick ass. By the way I've heard that some JDM cars that are imported are converted to left hand drive. So maybe you could do it the other way?

They also made a postal sedan. I almost bought one when I got my Legacy. It was a 92 also. It's basically like a L AWD. Who wouldn't want a RHD twin turbo Legacy. People don't have to know it was built to be a postal vehicle. Plus a hell of a lot cheaper than importing anything. A few B4 badges, some sick wheels and maybe a RS style bumper, some interior styling improvements, and you'd have one of the sickest Legacies in the states in my opinion.

THat would be a sweet project, just drop in the TT J-spec legacy engine. Since the postal wagon is already right hand drive, the engine should fit just fine. (it won't on any left hand drive cars without *serious* modification) I have thought about this before. The big thing for me is that they are only automatics. Eh.

I correct myself, they were all wagons. You would also have to convert it to a manual transmission, a big project, but possible. Maybe just buy a RHD shell and convert everything. Buy a junk B4 from overseas and swap everything in. Quite a big project.

Hey Grant, Got your e-mail on the repair kit. SOA now wants 5 for samples. We will soon be able to get cars and parts from AU and NZ at a fairly decent price if you want a TT we can get one.
