Seat Covers For Legacy or XT

Post by Behemoth »

Howdy all,

I have some mid '90 XT seats that have seen better days. They are still comfortable and I'd like to keep them. Anyone know of a seat cover that will fit the XT seats or a close match?

TIA!

Behemoth,

ciper and I are the only two people on this board that I know of that own XT's as well as Legacies, so asking here unfortunately will gather little response :(

I also do not have covers on my XT's seats as they're pretty much perfect. Are they torn or are they just really dirty? They might be salvageable as they are, but I would think you're gonna have a hard time finding something that fits right.

Try xt6.net/forum, they might be a little more helpful.

Good luck!

if you're crafty, take the stock seat covers off, take them apart and use them as a pattern to custom make new ones with upholstery from a fabric store

Well, I don't actually own an XT. Just the seats. The drivers seat is the worst. The side panel, where the recline lever is, has a long wide tear. The upper side, where the shoulder belt rubs, is rotted away (ie; one big hole). Now the stitching is coming out of the center of the seat. I'm running out of seat to save.

Thanks for the lead. I'll check out the website.

I'm afraid if I take the seat covers off, they may not go back on (in one piece).

they dont have to. you make patterns from them on new fabric, that way you can do whatever you want. you could even embroider "apc" into them if you wanted to, then sew the new fabric together, alot like a slipcover, but completely different

Hmm... That's not a half bad idea Laurel. I might talk to my mom and see if we can make some new covers for my custom bolstered seats...
