205/60/15 Winter Tires

Post by QuickDrive »

Would the topic size be too big for a winter tire on the Stock Turbo Alloys?

I blew one of my winters and figured I might as well start looking for another set, summers don't last that long in .CA

Thx.

205/60/15 would fit the wheel, probably fit the car, too. But it is tall compared to stock size. For winter I think you can go with a narrower tire to increase the weight per surface area of tread contact. I'd say 195/60/15, the stock size.

Related subject, check out how narrow the tires look when WRC cars are in a snow rally. It looks so bizzare because we are all used to seeing really wide tires on race cars.

Cool, was just looking

I'm trying to get a budget set of winters to run, that's all. they popped up on a local bbs. and I was curious...

I have/had 185/65/15 Gislaved Frost 2's for my winter set before they practically destroyed themselves.
