I decided that I wanted to keep some coin in the bank incase something happened to the car (clutch or something) so I am postponing the exhaust until a bit later in the summer when I can get a feel for the car stock.
So, I picked up a headunit (which, in reality, didn't set me back anything that I won't be picking up within the next week).
What'd I get? I got a Pioneer 860MP deck.
It's got some cool features, which I enjoy because I drive a lot. One of those cool features is self imaging. It comes with a microphone. You clip the microphone to your collar or something, and turn on the unit. Push a few buttons, and the head unit sets output levels to each speaker for proper imaging. Like you're sitting in the middle of the car.
Unfortunately, I have to give up my Sirius sattelite radio in exchange for XM, but I'll deal. Switching to XM, I'll save some money because my mom has XM in her new car, so I get a discount on the monthly fee ($6 monthly instead of 10. I prefer sirius, but I'll get used to it).
I paid a bit more than I was expecting, but I'm not to worried about it. I needed a headunit, and I didn't want to cheap out. Good sound is hard to come by, and I have a taste for quality music.
Check it out...
