Bleeding ABS modulator

Post by DLausche »

"A forum for 89-94 BC-BF Legacy Owners and Fans" - Hmmm, I hope this is not off-topic as mine is a 95...

I have a 95 legacy LSi with ABS. The ABS modulator is leaking and will need to be replaced. I am fairly sure I will be able to replace this myself but am unsure how to bleed the air out of the new modulator. Is this something that can be done in a home shop or are specialty tools/equipment needed to bleed the modulator?

I think the ABS modulator/pump is the Nippon 2E model.

Thanks

The dealership has a special electrical doo-dad (god I feel old) that they can hook up to it that will open all the solenoids in the unit.
