18mm sway bar possibly for sale, can someone confirm size?

Post by ciper »

I just happened to be reading my service manuals for the 92-94 legacy and I saw something that caught my eye. It states that vehicles equiped with air suspension had an 18mm rear bar!!

My car is a 1990 LS wagon originally with air suspension. Im currently running aftermarket bars so my stocker is laying around.

The specs I have read as follows:

Rear with standard coils and sruts diameter for all models 16mm

Rear for all with air suspension 18mm

If its really true I have the complete bar with mounts bushings and drop links.

I thought the Legacy turbo wagons had 18mm rear sways as well. I could be wrong, and if I am I'd love to get my hands on a bigger bar. Can anyone confirm?

The turbo legacy had 18mm bar on it.....which is what I have on my car now.

It's a good upgrade for the n/a guys though.

Did all the turbo legacies have 18mm bars or just the wagons? For some reason I thought it was just the wagons, but I could be wrong.

Cool! Finally a benefit to having a car with air suspension. :D
