found something

Post by jake15 »

i was cruising the rslibertyclub forums and came across this
http://www.perfectrun.com.au./performan ... intake.htm
scroll to the subaru area. looks like it will fit the turbos if you want an intake. i'm not sure if there is any intakes made in the u.s. for the turbo's, and i couldnt search (it wasn't working).

I got my open element filter from www.ProCarParts.com. It was for a 2nd Gen. ('94-'98ish)
It came with the filter and adapter plate, and bolted right up!!!

It was red too which was pretty cool. I then painted my plastic intake manifold cover thingy red, but avoided the sticker and fake fasteners. It looks really good.

createnew,
how does your intake work at elevation. The reason I ask is, I spoke to brad @ flat4engineering (mike shaw subaru) and he said that people have lots of problems with open air filters this high in elevation.

p.s. I live in cheyenne, wyoming

thanks

I haven't experienced any problems with my open element filter. It works pretty well. I noticed a very slight increase in power and sound as well. Well, as far as I can remember. I've had it for a long time (a couple years.) But definately NO problems. What was flat4 having problems with?

I'm actually going to Wyotech in Laramie right now, for another 4 weeks.
