Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

HEY, what area you trying to SAY!??I call bull. A sport sedan in good tune will walk all over any NA all day. Don't get confused by the people with something wrong with their car getting beat.

Just cause my car got walked over by a N/A at the drag race track...
Well it has been running well most of the time now, and if a N/A is normally getting in the 17 second range, and a stock Turbo is getting in the 16 second range, then in all honesty, the n/a keeps up pretty well. It will never beat it, but it will keep up ok for itself.
I was talking to a mechanic that used to go race the brand new cars on the track all the time. He and another buddy subaru mechanic took out the turbos and n/a and he said that the turbo would pull out every time, but the N/A would be right on the bumper. The turbos had a hard time pulling away once things were going. These were brand new legacys.
the only way they can do this is the gearing I'm sure. We can't underestimate the N/A though, they do well for themselves. Shoot, didn't someone get a 16 second N/A??

Mine ran a 16.3 @ 86 (shoot, I think it was 86... 86 give or take a mph), but that was 100k ago and I know it wouldn't do that now. It was definitely faster than the 260Z I owned, but now...not so much. I'd guess somewhere in the 17s now.

exactly my point. Just because the car isn't turbo'd doesn't mean it's that much slower.

Well, as long as it is understood that a 4/10 of a second in the quarter mile is big difference. N/A's are sitting around mid 16's to 17's (depending on trim and options).
Any well running sport sedan is sitting at low 16's to high 15's. Once things get going, the turbo runs out of breath above 4000 rpm due to the restrictive exhaust combined with the small turbo, you literally can feel it. But that is besides the point.
It all depends on your definition of "not far behind".
