Vacuum in fuel tank?

Post by fredley »

Is this normal? After driving, when I stop to fill, there's quite a whoosh when I remove the cap. Is this typical, or should my cap be venting and is malfunctioning?

Totally normal. Almost every car I've ever owned did that.

You'd fail evaporative emissions without it.
