JDM legacy 4eat diff ratios and other tranny Q's

Post by bugeyes »

I'm in the middle of an ej20g (from a jdm bf5 legacy) swap and contemplating what transmission to use... I could use the stock tranny (usdm 97 obs 4eat), the jdm 4eat that came with my clip (no rear diff), or a manual tranny off an rs.
To use the jdm tranny, I need to know what the diff ratios are, especially the rear diff since thats the one i need to replace.
Also, will the ecu off the clip work with a manual tranny being that it came stock with a 4eat?

thanks

Yes it will, it should be much like the usdm bf ecu, there is one identifier wire that will need to be cut.

I am 99.9% sure that the rear diff is 4.111
