Allow me to introduce myself.

Post by alcyone »

Hello to all you Legacy enthusiasts!

Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Mike, and just purchased my first Legacy. I've been a Subaru nut for many years and have been an active member of the Subaru community since 1999. I have been through 5 Subaru's since then, and am an Admin at the www.subaru-svx.net forums. I even worked for Subaru for a brief time in 2003. I had always wanted a BF5 wagon, and finally picked up my first (a 1994 L AWD wagon) on Friday. Since then i've already thrown on a set of Ground Control Coilovers, and some WRX shoes. I love the car, and hope to become an active member of this community starting now.

Here are some pictures of my wagon from today:

And, finally, a picture of my SVX.

Welcome... I remember seeing you back when I was lurking on the svx.net. I was searching for an SVX and trying to learn all I could. Never did buy one, but made an offer on one to a local Subaru dealership service manager. He decided to keep his SVX and he sold his Legacy instead. I still dig the SVX, maybe I'll have one someday. I ended up picking up a turbo BC and am very happy with it.

Both of your rides look great. Legacy is sitting a bit too low for my tastes. What exhaust is that on your SVX?

Looks awesome man!

Isn't it the BF6 though? I thought the 5 was the 2.0L Legacys, where the 6 was 2.2L?

Do you live anywhere near Carlisle PA? I saw an SVX with a similar exhaust and wheels this weekend. Even had the SHIFT sticker on the rear. I don't remember the license plate though.

Welcome aboard, Alcyone! I believe I've seen you on the SVX forum, too.

Real sweet, clean wagon; nice wheels!

I've got the best of 'both worlds', an SVX and a turbo wagon.

See 'ya around.

There are a number of members from the UK with SVX's. Visit the SVX forum noted earlier to review- in fact there is a EU section.

The engine is a sweet dual overhead cam 3.3L-6 - one more bank than what the Legacy's have (2.2L).
