So Fresh and So Clean 56k not friendly

Post by LaureltheQueen »

Had a free afternoon today, so I swung by the auto parts store and picked up a clay bar. Took care of the outside of the car, and then attacked the inside, vacuumed everything, even the headliner. wiped out every door jam, car looks nice.

So that's what an undamaged rear bumper looks like ;) Looks good Laurel. Did you paint the rear lights? Also, what fogs are those?

Looks good Laurel. I've really gotta spend some time on my interior. :(

Man, that thing looks awesome!

What, exactly, does a clay-bar do?

Great work Laurel! You should fly across the country to clean my car like that :)

Looks good! You do know you're in the middle of the road right :P

Clay bar is supposed to help get rid of oxidation, overspray, shit like that. I don't particularly care for them. They do work for overspray, however I've found them to be a pain in the ass. I use a product called safe cut by the wax shop. Put's a really nice shine on the car

when you drive, all sorts of contaminants stick to your paint, like brake dust and whatnot, that do not come off with a regular wash and wax. what clay bar does is picks up everything that's on your paint, so all that's left is the paint, and then you just run the car over with a good coat of wax.

I was in the middle of a deserted business park, i had no worries about cars coming through

Those PIAAs came with the car when Laurel bought it.

At some point, she might be able to get down in that front bumper area and find out which set they are. :)

it appears that somebody "brushed" up against it with their car, because there's a tiny dent and a few small scratches. luckily nothing serious

The wagon is lookin sharp and very clean! :) That sucks about the fender tho, so that has to come out of your pocket from someone else's dumb mistake! So not fair ,thats one of the best wagons i have seen around for awhile or should i say rust free.
