wow.. I read the whole thing from start to finish..... looks like the guy did all the right things..... I probably would have ended up in jail....

Yea, I read the whole thing too. I wouldn't have said some of the things he said on the phone though. When it comes to $100,000, I wouldn't trust who someone says they are on the telephone.

I remember finding the link to that story awhile ago and I thought it was one of the best stories I'd read in a long time -especially a tthe end where the the author abrubtly stops the story. I was like, "what the heck?!" , and then I realized that he was asking for a donation to support the website.
Fantastic story though. I dunno if I would have ever returned the money, though.
I might have taken the cashier's check, cashed it and headed to Belieze -they have very complicated and lackadasical extradition laws.
It might very well have been beautiful, bronze skinned beach girls and frau frau drinks till my liver exploded.
