Impreza Turbo shocks

Could anyone tell me whether or not these

will fit a 1990 UK Legacy 1.8GL? My car has just failed it`s MOT due to a corroded and holed O/S/R strut

I`m not technically minded and most threads regarding such things are beyond me so please forgive me if this has previously been covered.

they should, 96 uk = 97 us right, and thats still gc/gf/gm chassis so yes they should work fine Assuming both the cars are the same drivetrain type.

I seem to be getting conflicting opinions about this. I am being told at scobbynet that the Impreza Turbo shocks are softer than the legacy GL shocks and that the rears have slightly differing lengths.

Is this true? I don`t have long before the ebay sale is over and can`t afford to waste time and money on parts that may be useless.

yeah they have different rates, as for the length issue I've never heard that before, and honestly cant see why that would be. Theres plenty of people on this board that have put impreza struts on their car and not had installation problems.
