Got a lariat?

Post by BAC5.2 »

Anyone have a larait on their key chain? Anything interesting?

I used to have a Bicardi lariat, and had it for several years. I just recently retired it temporarily to try out the CUSCO lariat I picked up at SEMA. I don't know if I am going back or not.

I prefer not to have anything dangling off my keychain. So it's just a single key on a ring.

I've got a 10mm combination wrench on my keychain. I put it on when my ignition relay went bad and I had to disconnect the battery every time I parked, and then found that it was really useful to have.

Yeah, the wrench serves that purpose too. :)

I have about 6-7 keys on the ring (One from a car I basically grew up in but never got a chance to drive), plus my old man club sponsor, 3-4 empty smaller key rings, and I used to have an MGD thing with a girlie girl on it but the hook on it broke.

I have my car key by itself on an old hood pin - I hate dangling chains, too. My apartment and mailbox keys are on another single oblong ring.

Too many keys (and assorted crap) can actually mess up the ignition switch. All the extra weight was not intended to press on that poor little switch. Just a thought... rare, but possible.

I have 5 keys. House, Barn, Hall, Legacy, GL. It's on a Burberry key holder thingy that my aunt gave me... I don't know what they are called, but it pulls apart real easy to add/remove keys. I like it.

On my keyring, I've got a foot-shaped bottle opener (comes in VERY handy), a Dana Designs clip for my pack, a library card, a Food Lion MVP card (for school), the original key-tag for my car, 2 Suby keys (incase my bling key bends or something), my truck key, a key to my house, a key to our beach house, my roof-rack key (for the rack I might not put on my 94), a Mountain Hardwear limited edition LED light, and a Club-Car key that my grandfather gave to me.

That's a shit ton of stuff, but it doesn't weigh anything nor does it really take up any space.

I have every key I use. 3 house keys, 2 car keys. 1 key for my Tool Box, and a key for the Gas cap on the Wagon.

I also have a Subaru keychain that i got when I was a kid. Before I even owned a subaru (or had my license for that matter). Ive never seen another like it, but ive seen many Subaru keychains.

Oh, and a handy dandy clip... the keys never leave my side unless they're in the ignition.

Until I changed positions at work, I had more keys relating to my job than I did my personal life.

I have: my Legacy key (the Subaru logo key that you see on eBay all the time), my XT key, my front door key, and that's it for me. I have a key to 4 different company cars, then 2 keys to parts warehouses. I also have a pocketknife on my keychain coz I used to tear boxes open, but I don't use it much anymore.

Hehe i got that subaru key off ebay too. its nice :)

I try to only keep one bulk item other than keys per keys set. Which happens to be my car remote.

I must say i HATE my wifes keys. I could litterly pummel some one to death with them. She has keychain for just about every city and themepark we ever went to. ( about 15+) Not to mention those picture things. If i ever borrow her keys i need to wear cargo pants and put them in the side pocket. THen they are still stabbing me iin the leg every which way. :-/

bicycle lock key, lab key, greenhouse key, and front door key - all on a ring on a "not for climbing" carabiner that clips in my pockets to keep from losing the keys while on bike/motorbike.
The Subaru and motorcycle keys are on their own rings that can be on the carabiner too, but seldom are.

My keyring consists of a pewter keyhole that goes with the key on my girlfriend's keys (she has the key, i have the lock, get it?) then my subaru key, which is the one i got when i bought it, plus one of those glow in the dark stars glued to it(so i can recognize it in the dark..), along with my house key, office key, and key to girl's house. (ok, her mom's house, technically..) the point is, that's my shit. The subaru key is actually for a Nissan, but i guess they both work.. so --whaddya gonna do? I'm tryna get the chance to go down to the subaru dealership and get me a real key cut.. something like a blue STi key or something... something neat and cool... i dunno...

STi keys dont fit. i've tried. They're too thick. Best you'll do is get the lame-o rubber black handled thing for $8 and still need it cut.

I've got a UofO ( Go big green!) beener that I use to hook my key rings to. I have a couple Subaru Rally Team laraits that I got at STPR in '03 but I don't have them hooked to my keys.

IIRC a couple different people here are using STI keys on their BC/BF's so it must be possible...

Jason had the STi key, but had the regular key to open the locks.

91Legacy_sleeper - Shouldn't YOU have the key? Or does she wear the jockeys in the relationship?

No, no man... it's not like that.. the key goes to my heart.. and a tattoo on my chest. It was my graduation gift to her. Ultra-sweet. I won awards for that gift.
you only wish you had my lady-skills.. jockeys or not, I do the riding, so trill. (wink)

While we're on the topic of keys.. if the STi key --that's the blue one, right? if that key doesn't work, are there any other colorful subie keys around? I was maybe hoping for one with a black grip and the star pattern inlaid or on some kind of plastic thing, so it's on the key.. that make sense? (key, with our little circular logo thing set into it..) Anyone know of custom key makers/designers? possible group buy, if so? perhaps a legacycentral one?
later.
