That'd be fun as hell, as long as they let you take the Outback XT out for a spin on the track.

Oh, I thought he just got invited to see it at the official unvieling at the Detriot or Chicago auto show, or something like that. I didn't know it was a test drive on a track type thing that he went to.

Can you beat on the cars, or is it just a cruise thing? I don't wanna drive all the way down there to drive like a granpa...

lots of fun, basically they put aside the usual salesperson pitch (they are not even subaru employees, actual race drivers) give you a basic intro to the fleet you can drive (explanation of varying drivetrains) and then an overview of the auto-x style course... pick the cars you want to drive and just go at it
They prefer you to not overdrive the car so take her a bit easy on the first run..lol... then let the awd slides begin!
After that we had a large hill (basically a pile or gravel) to show how steep of an incline the car could go up.... very impressive
It's a fun day and worth the trip, you get to do stuff you could never do on a usual test-drive... the new braking system with EBFD really gets the car stopped well
enjoy!
