Gosh Darn DEER!!!!!!!!!

Post by 88xt6joe »

So my wife comes in the door crying turn on the lights turn on the lights in the garage. I'm like whats wrong. She said I hit a deer. I'm like oh no!!!! All the damn work we put into the body of this darn car. The legacy has been wounded. Front windshield is gone driverside mirror is gone and various dents along the driverside and deer fur. Already got one quote for windshield at $419.00 only paid $450.00 for the whole damn car. Damn Stupid ass wild animals to quote my wife. Just had to vent.

Damn, that sucks. I almost smacked one the other night. I got full side ways, locked up avoiding it. It almost made me crap my pants too.

She said there was no avoiding it because the choices where the deer, the ditch, or a big truck. She picked the deer. The ditches are deep around here.

It sucks but be grateful it wasn't worse - a guy around here was driving down the highway (nowhere near the woods) when a deer jumped the fence dividing the highway and it landed through his windshield killing his wife in the pass seat beside him. That same year an aircraft at the local runway got 50k in damage from hiting one on the runway. Enough to give you an appreciation for venison. Mmm venison ...

Maybe you could get the parts from the JY? Does your insurance cover windshields? Too bad you don't live in MA as windshield replacement is subsidized.

$120 doesn't sound too bad to me. I'd make sure the glass is in good shape though and not cloudy from road wear.

It didn't sound bad but the guy never called back to say if he had a good one or not.
